Location
This photo was taken near my home. There is a church across the street from my house. One of my favorite places to take photos of the various seasons during the year.Time
This photo was taken after Midnight during the Fall.I was wanting to experiment with night photographyLighting
I took this photo around Midnight. There was a full moon with some clouds in the sky. I was experimenting with slow shutter speeds and I liked how the full moon came out so bright and casting rays out, This reminded me of a daylight photo with a starburst filter. But no filter was used.Equipment
Camera was a Canon Rebel T6 and had it mounted on a tripod so I could use the slow shutter speed. No flash or filters on the lens.Inspiration
I was doing a photo challenge for lighting and night photography. I was about to leave my home to find a location and when I looked across the road, I liked how the moon light was lighting up the church and the trees. So I decided to stay at home for my inspiration. Sometimes your topic can be right there in front of you and you don't have to venture out to seek it out.Editing
I did very basic editing. Histogram color enhance and very little cropping. I try to keep my photos with very little editing..In my camera bag
Equipment I keep in my bag besides my 2 main lenses. I always come prepared with extra memory cards and batteries. My must haves to have are cleaning wipes for the lenses and a mini tripod. Times you dont want to have a big tripod to carry around and my mini tripod.has been a great tool.Feedback
Experiment with your shots, try different shutter speeds , The various lighting exposure can make the magic you didn't expect. The nice thing about using digital, you can see your results faster and take as many shots you want. A nice difference from the days I use to use film and had to wait and hope I go that great shot during the moment.
