This photo was taken on a country road leading to my family camp in New Hampshire. Every foliage season I look forward to driving through this colorful tunnel. I am a self taught photographer and enjoy learning along the way.Time
Every fall, it is always a treat to turn out of our driveway and see this colorful landscape. Peak foliage in northern NH is early October which is when this photo was taken. Late in the day is always the best time to capture the sun shining behind the trees.Lighting
The leaves on the trees act as a filter as the sun backlights the scene.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D7000, 18-140 mm, 1/25 f10 using a tripodInspiration
I always have my camera with me when we are at our family home in NH. We are nestled in the woods where there are many photo opportunities. This is a photo of what has been one of my favorite views for the last 50 years. I look forward to the day when I can capture this same view after a fresh fallen snow.Editing
I enhanced the lighting using photoshop to brighten the landscape. In my camera bag
I always have an extra battery, tripod and a 55-300mm lens.Feedback
Late in the day before the sun goes down is a great time to capture a beautiful landscape.
