Location
The location is at a park near Plano Texas. Found the perfect spot but it was infested with mosquitoes. ????Time
I normally love to shoot around golden hour. This was taken care around 7:30pm. Due to the season I was losing light. I'm not a fan of flash so it was a bit of a challenge.Lighting
I just used the natural light I had and used the lighting of the candle for a more dramatic effect.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3400 and my 50mm lens!Inspiration
I'm a huge fan of horror and fantasy. The shoot was originally supposed to be more darker than this and more gothic but it went a different direction during editing.Editing
I did not.In my camera bag
I normally have my two lens with me including a back up battery.Feedback
It's funny because this shoot was a disaster! Me and my friend (model) both decided to do a re-shoot because it was getting dark and I had camera difficulties and my lighting wasn't charged. We were getting constantly bit by mosquitoes and my model had allergies. We were both hot and sweaty but my friend was a trooper and she said let's just shoot for fun! So I did and I'm lucky I got this shot! I wasn't originally going to even use this photo but I saw potential in it and just went straight into editing! My advice is to just have fun, try new things and experiment! Don't be afraid to try new things and get out there! I Surprise myself sometimes. There is so many great artist out there and I learned not to ever compare myself to them because you are your own artist, director and what you see is beautiful may not be everyone's cup of tea but as long as your happy with it that's all that matters. Reach for the stars! Thank you!
