obvious interesting contrast between the front and back of your portrait--The front view in color captures the iconic India with patterns and textures and vibrant color. The back of the mother and child highlights her many labors, carrying and caring for her child, carrying products purchased from the market or wherever on her head, and managing a critical balancing act to keep everything together...and reach her destination. the angle of the child on her back in the black and white is the capstone to the composition which conveys all the information needed to understand woman's role in Indian society and, indeed, across the developing world.
