Location
In a photographic tour in Parque Lage, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I took several photos and the image of this Flower of Iris, in close-up.Time
The photo was taken on a day that started out cloudy, after the rain of the previous night, and around 10 am the sun started to shine and it got really hot, although it was still late winter. The iris flower photo was taken at 12:25 pm on Saturday.Lighting
The lighting was natural and it was not necessary to use any equipment other than the camera.Equipment
I only used my Canon PowerShot ELPH 150 IS camera, with a 24mm fixed lens. f/3, T 1/800, 4.3 mm, ISO 200.Inspiration
My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature and its colors and shapes so diverse. Normally, I take nature photos because of their impact on me, however, I always try to be inspired by works of art that focus on colors and illuminated shapes, such as those of nature by Van Gogh and Monet.Editing
I did small retouches, just to bring more shine to the image, I don't really like to use excesses in nature images. In my camera bag
I usually carry only my Canon PowerShot ELPH 150 IS camera in my bag, with a 24mm fixed lens.Feedback
My advice for those who like nature photography is to practice a lot, as much as you can, it shouldn't matter too much that at first the photos aren't so perfect, it doesn't matter if they use cell phones, cameras like mine or expensive and modern cameras and equipments. The most important thing is to see other photographers, to study classical painters, it is also important, in addition to trying to study photography, even if it is basic. However, never forgetting to have your own look and knowing how to see mistakes and successes, never copying works is also vital, so when they look at your photo they know it's yours, because each photographer has his identity registered in the photos he takes.
