A friend asked me to take family photos at her family reunion. This is one of her family members.Time
It was around 6 pm we were finished with dinner and kids were playing musical chairs, adults too. This watermelon was just a great stack for such a hot day!Lighting
It was a really hot sunny day, but the canopy we sat under gave the cover from overexposing this great shot!Equipment
I was using my Canon Rebel T7i and my 24-105mm lens.Inspiration
She inspired me! Her curls. Her eyes. That adorable was was just captivating and when I was in that moment I just snapped the shot!Editing
I do not do too much processing. I used Lightroom a bit to adjust white balance and lighting, textures and sharpness, but outside of a few moves of the dials I did not do a lot of photo shopping.In my camera bag
I always carry my nifty 50, 24-105mm, 75-300mm, extra SD cards and batteries and my cleaning kit.Feedback
Watch where the natural light is positioned. Watch where it hits, how it affects the shot, check the shot, and adjust settings. Shade the lens if it is sunny, carry an umbrella!
