Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my favorite birding spot on my way to work. I pass a marshy estuary which has a viewing area. Many species of waterfowl and shorebirds hang out there.

Time

Early morning- a few hours after sunrise (in Alaska summer that’s at 7ish).

Lighting

In Alaska, light is ever changing, and I’m given new challenges every time.

Equipment

My Panasonic FZ80, and my car window jam to stabilize the camera.

Inspiration

I recently started birding and they just happened to be close by and not moving quickly.

Editing

I did not.

My camera is always in my car.
