This is my first image of a bird I got to take with my very own digital camera. The only thing I wanted to do when I got my own camera was to take a picture of a bird. This might not be the best picture but it took me an hour and a half to take so I'm proud of it.

Location
This photo was taken in my garden. We have hundreds of birds pass through this one tree everyday but this specific one caught my eye.Time
I took this at around 4pm. It was around the time that most of our birds leave for the day.Lighting
The lighting was a bit of a tough one for me because I'm new and I'm still trying to manipulate the lighting in a way that it captures the bright colours but does not make the picture look artificial in any way. This specific picture was not as difficult to capture in terms of the lighting.Equipment
I used my Canon Eos 550D on the Nature setting so that I could capture the lovely bright colours!Inspiration
I absolutely love nature and wildlife photography and my goal was to take a picture of the birds in our garden. This little bird was the lucky one!Editing
I didn't make use of any processing because I felt that the image spoke for itself. Any added details would take away from its natural beauty. The colours were already bright enough. In my camera bag
The only things I have in my bag are my camera body, 18-55mm lens, charger, batteries and my SD card.Feedback
Be patient! These small birds are extremely fast and a bit tough to capture with this little camera of mine but patience is key.
