After seeing your greenhouse photo, I looked up at the roof structure of the Greenhouse at the Hillwood Estate here in Washington DC which belonged to Marjorie Merriweather Post, a grande dame of her day, and didn't see much of any interest so I particularly appreciate your POV here!

Thanks Cookie. This gladdhouse also has a central dome and 2 wings one either side. there is also a separate greenhouse

which is up against a wall of the original walled garden. They are at Walton Hall which was the Greenalls estate. They made their money from gin.and beer.

it was restored very recently.
