Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Time

I often to sit at the rooftop during the golden until the blue hour. This picture was taken right at the end of the blue hour.

Lighting

I present this picture as natural as I could. I did slightly post-editing process in the Lightroom to keep the highlight higher and keep the blue-saturation lower.

Equipment

I use Canon 80D with 55-250mm lens. No other equipment rather than kept my hands steady.

Inspiration

It's been quite sometimes for me to explore the sky with couple of telephoto lens that I have. It is such an amazing experience to get closer to the moon through the view finder. I always want to let other to see the beauty of the sky beyond our eyes.

Editing

I most ofter play around with the highlight, shadow, saturation, and sharpening for the moon post editing in Lightroom. I keep it as simple and as natural as it is.

In my camera bag

I always have both of my Canon 5D Mark IV and Canon 8OD with me. I bring 70-200mm lens and 50mm lens for Canon 5D Mark IV. For Canon 80D, I usually bring the wide angle lens, which is 17-55mm lens.

Feedback

I always use the rules 100/100, which means whenever my ISO 100, my Shutter Speed should be 100 as well. It is easy to play around with that rule while I maintain the aperture in between 4-8 for the moon shoot.
