Location
This was taken at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They had a large exhibit of JellyfishTime
It was taken in the afternoon. We had lunch and were starting to walk through the Jellyfish exhibit. Since all the lighting was from the exhibit it wouldn't have mattered except we were there at a time when the Jellies were active.Lighting
The lighting was supplied by the exhibit. I had to find a spot where it became as invisible as possible. No reflections off the glass or bounce off objects in the water.Equipment
NIKON D7000 Settings were Aperture 33/10?ISO 1000?Shutter 1/640?Focal Length 42/1?Inspiration
The natural wonder of the Jellyfish as they swim in what looks to be a weightless world. They are transparent, but then again they have a beauty all their own.Editing
Not much Post Processing was done here. I cropped the picture a bit and brought up the sharpness but that's about itIn my camera bag
I just updated my camera Body to a Nikon D610. I carry with me a Nikon 50mm Prime, a Sigma 24 -70, a Nikkor 105mm Macro, and a Nikkor 18 - 24 mm. I have a Sigma 150-500mm but don't normally carry itFeedback
Know where your light is to avoid reflections. Remember that the smallest subjects can have ethe biggest results
