This photo was taken in an abandoned garden near an old deserted house. In amidst the wild blackberries and weeds that had taken over, was this rose bush, seemingly from a different lifetime when the house and garden was cared for and tended to. The bush only had a single rose on it, stunning in it's pristine beauty as it was encompassed by wild and unruly nature.Time
I took this picture on one of my nature walks just as the afternoon was turning into evening.Lighting
I love the moodiness of the lighting in this photo, I feel it really represents the feeling of this perfect rose, so often seen in immaculate fancy gardens, now forsaken in these wild and unbridled conditions.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T7 Aperture: f 5.6 Exposure: 1/80 ISO:100 with 18-55 LensInspiration
I was out on a nature walk along the ocean and on my way happen to come across this garden patch, I saw this brilliant rose standing out surrounded by the green leaves and blackberries and just had to capture it! I wasn't searching for it and was so in awe of it's beauty.Editing
Yes, I used Lightroom to enhance the moodiness by dimming the lighting slightly and increasing the blue tone to help the rose really stand out as the center focus with the surrounding details. In my camera bag
I always have in my bag with my camera - 18-55 lens, macro rings, mini tripod, filters, extra batteries for sure and a cable releaseFeedback
Don't be afraid to take a lot of photos! You will be surprised how the slight differences in angles, focus, lighting, and detail may not be as noticeable until you get them into post processing. Sometimes I take 10-15 photos of what may seem like the same photo but it's worth it. How heart-breaking it would be to come back thinking you have the best photo and the lighting or focus is off? With multiple photos to choose from chances are higher that there will be one in the bunch that is just perfect!
