Location

I took this picture in my sons backyard at my grandson‘s birthday party it was a clear sunny day the lighting was perfect and the colors of the flowers were so vibrant!

Time

I took this picture at mid afternoon.

Lighting

During the mid afternoon hours when the sun is just slightly off-center from being right above you it’s important to stay out of your shadow weren’t trying to capture the vibrancy of flowers.

Equipment

I used nothing but my smart phone.

Inspiration

I have always loved doing macros of flowers.

Editing

In my photo app I simply use the auto enhancing feature other than that I didn’t use any other filters on this particular photo.

In my camera bag

I use my iPhone a lot for toggery I do have a fisheye lens in a macro lens that I attach for some of my photography.

Feedback

Make sure you distance yourself enough from the flower when doing macros that you are observing the proportion rule you don’t want it taking up too much space but you also don’t want it being too small either and catching more of the background than the flower.
