I was photographing this Wasp Spider when an unlucky grasshopper leapt into the web. The speed with which the spider immobilised and wrapped up it's prey was incredible, as I watched through the viewfinder it went from grasshopper to mummy within the blink of an eye. A sad end for the grasshopper but amazing to witness. What a spectacular spider!
