Location
In Amelia, VA. I'm a self taught photographer and this was one of my first images that I actually felt proud of.Time
I took this photo on a crisp fall morning with the presence of a heavy frost.Lighting
Natural sunlight early in the morning.Equipment
Since I was only a couple of years into my adventures into the photography realm and somewhat unsure of my abilities, I had a Canon rebel t3i with the standard 5.6 lens.Inspiration
I had driven by this old church many times and have never noticed it as it sits a bit off the road. I just happened to look that direction and noticed it. I was intrigued by the shape the church was left in and wanted to know history of the church. I immediately went home and got my camera.Editing
I used a program called Photomatix pro to touch it up with an HDR type flare. In my camera bag
2 cameras, several lenses, filters, extra batteries, lens cleaning stuff, can of air. A number of other things.Feedback
It's so easy to get into a one track state of mind. Don't forget to take a second or two to look around. Never know what you might see that might otherwise go unnoticed.
