Location
This was taken on a road South of Tolna, ND that we were taking toward Binford, ND.Time
This was an early evening shot around 5:15pm CST.Lighting
It was a sunny day with slight cloud coverage, mostly in front of the camera, but clear overhead. The sun was to the west of the camera lens.Equipment
This was taken with a Motorola Z2 Force 12-Megapixel phone rear facing camera.Inspiration
Being on a motorcycle of any kind is very freeing. The clouds were fluffy and magical. We were misplaced in an area we've never driven on before with the bike. The scenery was so beautiful I had to capture the moment from while we were driving about 68 mph.Editing
The focus of the camera had to be on a more still object than the bike going 68pmh and I used the mirror of the Motorcycle to not focus on the closest object, the driver. Two pictures were taken back to back to compare the road, clouds, and focus. I then tuned the image to ensure the road was not blurry, added a little drama to the clouds and updated the look to a black and white image. In my camera bag
Currently, I only use my camera phone when out on the motorcycle.Feedback
Taking a moving photo, especially with landscape, takes patients and stillness of the hands. Take multiple shots to ensure you capture the right moment. Breath right before taking a shot. Play around with your spots of focus to find the right look you are going for.
