Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in "Cotos Natural Park" in Spain

Time

We arrived at the car place at 19:30, then we climbed to the summit. It took like 2 hours. Then we just wait for the sunset and the dark in the night. About 23:00 I started to take photos until 4:00 in the night.

Lighting

I was trying to see the comet, so I needed the darkest part of the night

Equipment

This was shot on a Sony a6000, with a 16-70mm f4.0 lens and a tripod

Inspiration

I was looking for the comet and the Milky way in the new moon night. For a long time, I wanted to shot the Milky way, but I could not. It is not easy for me to have time enough to go to nature to sleeping under the stars and having the opportunity to shot the sky. That is why I took all my staff and I drove for one hour and climbed to the summit. It was the perfect night.

Editing

Yes. Landscape and Milky way photography need post-processing. Thanks to @processingraw I have my "Stiles pack" to process the Milky way and with his video tutorials is easier for me and I learn a lot from him.

In my camera bag

I do not have my own equipment. I am really amateur taking photos and I use my papa's camera and his equipment. I am saving money to buy my own equipment.

Feedback

You should look for the darkest place you can. It should be far away from the city and the lights. Sleep under the star and enjoy the experience
