Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo is Isfahan on a trip with my friends. It is the beautiful Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and the architecture there is unworldly.

Time

The vast details and the sun rays coming from the openings were so rapturous which make you lose track of time and just keep looking at them. But I managed to take shots as many as possible while the light was playfully changing on the interior walls. It was taken on July 7, 2019 at 12:26 PM.

Lighting

The building id known for the lighting and the sense of space and time, so literally every photo seemed perfect and stunning. The best time to go to this masterpiece is at noon and everything will settle with the least amount of adjustment.

Equipment

this shot was taken with Canon 600D, with 18-55mm f/3.5 lens and no other equipment.

Inspiration

There shuld have been a way to express the feelings my friends and I had during that time. I tried my best to capture those feelings in the many shots I took but the symmetry, lighting and architecture in this one were very satisfying and spiritual.

Editing

All the things were happening at the right time so this photo the exact same one that I took and then edited it in black and white.

In my camera bag

Since I'm not a professional photographer, I don't have many equipment so basically my camera which is Canon 600D with 18-55mm lens and a tripod.

Feedback

In sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and every other masterpieces, the lighting is very important and the shades created along it have the same power. Using the daylight and no artificial light is always the key to take this kind of photos. And the one great thing about taking black and white photos from every kind of architecture is that details and lights could be better seen and focused. In that case the efforts of both architect and photographer will be more appreciated, too.
