I made this photo at my sister's garden. There are a font there, and many birds come every day to take a bath. I like hummingbirds, their colors, all about them. I am a self taught photographer, I learn more every day.Time
That day I went to visit my sister and her family, we took lunch out, in the garden; at the afternoon, the hummingbirds come to the font to take a bath, they feel safe there, so don't have prevention to be there with people looking them. I had my camera and could take many photos of this beautiful bird, a lot of photos. This one is special because you can see it in all his splendor.Lighting
It's natural light, not directly, there is a high wall that give shadow, and the water of the font gives a little reflection.Equipment

The magnificence of the hummingbirds, The joy that they feel taking baths at the morning and afternoon. I am captivated for this birds, and I always wait to find the perfect moment to take photos of them. Almost always, when I am there, they come but I dont have my camera with me. Yes, I had to crop the image, play with lights and shadows to do more visibility to the bird, to get better the colors of the bird, more focus. That was all.In my camera bag

Patience, lot of patience, be ready always, try and try, never give up. This birds are so fast, and so nervous, is not easy be near, so, if you don't have the equipment, you need to be patient a persisten.
