This photo was taken in Fountain Hills, Arizona at the World Famous Fountain Park. The fountain itself held the world’s record for many years after it was built, soaring to 560 feet in the air! The bronze art installation is entitled “Vigilance”, by artist David LaMure, Jr.Time
This is a beautiful example of Arizona’s famed twilight time. The photos were taken between 7:30 & 8:00 PM facing East towards Red Mountain.Lighting
I wanted this image to illustrate the best of Arizona; it’s natural beauty, spectacular mountain scenery as well as the people’s appreciation for it’s art and nature as well.Equipment
This was shot with the Canon 6D, using Magic Lantern to bracket to 10 exposures. For full effect, I used the Rokinon 14 mm lens at F8.Inspiration
I’ve wanted to take the time for a twilight shoot at Fountain Park since I first discovered it after moving to Phoenix, AZ but my full time real estate photography work kept me busy in different parts of town.Editing
This image was processed through Adobe Bridge then lightly touched up in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I carry Canon wherever I go! I have my 6D with 24-104 lens as well as alternating with the Rokinon 14 mm, which I’ve been know to hoist up on a 25 foot tall painter’s pole! I actually also shoot with the Canon t2i, the seriously packed little rebel is so versatile that I recommend it still for toe dippers! I use this when I’m shooting from the backseat of my hubby’s Harley! It’s quick, easy to focus, and when you are going fast you want stability! My 18-135 lens works great for scenery and our Rider portraits!Feedback
Watch the weather and watch the time! Sunset in Arizona during the summer can be as late as 8 PM, but once those skies start turning colors, while you may just be tempted to stand and stare, take photos too!
