No other shot of the moon quite compares to that seen in a total eclipse. The ring of fire drew loud gasps of amazement from the crowd present when I took this shot. The instant is called totality when the moon totally covers the sun. If you ever get a chance to see a total eclipse you will never forget the experience! By the way nighttime is when the sun sets but during a solar eclipse it gets dark like nighttime. So is it daytime night?
