Some of the thousands of migrating toadlets from a nearby lake found their way inside some of the flowers in this garden. After a lot of searching I found this little one in a fuscia flower that was close to the ground. Perfect for ambushing small invertebrates that got too close.

Took some doing but managed to get super close to this very brave red squirrel. This was taken at about 50 cm away with a 105mm nikon micro lens.
