The fruits of awakening before the dawn: a comet visible with the naked eye on the horizon that peeps out from the Etna volcano.
The C-2020 F3 (NEOWISE), only 140 million km from us, reached its approach closer to the sun just 1 week ago which therefore made it much brighter and easily visible to the naked eye.
The comet was photographed in Centuripe, a small town in Sicily, 3 days ago just before dawn.
We can admire it for a while before sunrise in the north-east direction and until the end of the month at sunset in the north-west direction. It is estimated that for the next step we will have to wait 6800 years.
