Behind The Lens
Location
In a small town close to Mankato, MN called Kasota, MN. These rail road tracks run through a friends back yard with a rock quarry on the other side of the tracks.Time
We wondered back to the tracks at 1:30 pm central time.Lighting
The day was overcast and started to sprinkle just after I snapped the photo.Equipment
I used my Olympus E-M10 Mark II. ISO 640 1/100sec. I set my camera on the rail road track as my tripod for stabilization. I know that the new zoom lens is in mm but I still refer to is as my 35-70 zoom lens like my first one year ago was.Inspiration
I am always looking for something a bit different. A different way to shoot a photo concept that I have seen in the past. The tracks were quiet so it allowed me to lie down on the ground as a different perspective and set the camera on the track it self. This allowed a ground level perspective that ran the length of the track as far as the lens could see.Editing
I added my signature in Photoshop, and while there did an auto tone, auto contract and auto color. In my camera bag
My Olympus EM10 MachII camera, macro lens, standard zoom lens, a landscape lens, and a telescoping lens. I also always have an extra battery, tripod, water and a candy bar. And most times a husband to carry it for me....Feedback
don't plan too much, take photos of what inspires you. If it doesn't work out the way you expected that is OK, it could be better.
