Timing is everything! Originally my plan was to capture Astro that evening and managed to capture a beautiful reflection of the clouds off the lake.Lighting
I try to allow plenty of time to set up for a photoshoot and using apps like PhotoPills are helpful for knowing when and where the sun will be setting.Equipment
No special equipment needed. This was captured with a basic kit lens and Nikon D5200.Inspiration
Nature is my inspiration and always provide lots of opportunities capture beautiful and colourful photos.Editing
I always shoot in raw. I like to slight adjustments to increase the overall colours, bring down the highlights a bit and bring up the shadows.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I have the essentials like a tripod, plenty of batteries, memory cards, a couple different lenses & filters and a cleaning kit. I also make sure to bring stuff to stay physically comfortable. I travel with water and don’t forget the snacks!Feedback
