Behind The Lens

Location

i took this photo on my kitchen table using natural daylight.

Time

I took this picture in the morning using natural sunlight as my kitchen windows face east.

Lighting

when shooting a macro picture it is important to have enough light to increase your Depth of Field as much as possible. I used the very intense morning sun from my kitchen windows to achieve this.

Equipment

TG4 in macro mode and the camera's own dramatic filter setting. The shot was taken handheld. I used the macro ring light for fill

Inspiration

I was intrigued by the patterns on my place mats and thought they would make an interesting image. I used two different place mats one on top of the other for this image. .

Editing

i avoid using post processing for many of my images. I used the camera's on board dramatic filter setting for this image.

In my camera bag

depending on what im shooting and where. I use a Olympus TG4 for landscape and macro shots. I use a Sony A7ii for portraits and studio work I use a Cannon Rebel XS for crowds and events

Feedback

go out and start shooting!!! try taking shots from all perspectives...high and low angles...wide and close up shots. experiment with your equipment get to know it. Study others photos to help you get inspired. Have FUN!!!
