Location
This photo was taken in the "Plaza de Armas", in Arequipa, Peru'. It was my first visit to Arequipa, after several trips to Peru'.Time
On1/06/2019, around1:30 pm. I was strolling around the Plaza while my neice & nephew were arranging a tour to Colca Canyon. I spotted this beautiful little girl and her 'pet' and was 'floored'! I knew I had to get some shots. I took 4 photos, and submitted this one. Each photo is distinct, showing different interactions with her 'pet', and myself. To me, they are all special. I will upload the other three soon.Lighting
It was a bright, and sunny, but chilly day. The elevation at this site is 7,703 ft. / 2348 m. above sea level.Equipment
I was using a Nikon D3500 & a Nikon 55-300mm non-VR lens. Details: 1/250 sec., f/8, 55mm, ISO 100, hand held.Inspiration
Just one look at this little girl & her 'pet' was all of the inspiration I needed.Editing

Try to be inconspicuous; just be an observer and not become a participant. I believe that is how to obtain truly 'candid' photos. In the last photo of this series, she made eye contact with me, and so did her 'pet'. It was a beautiful shot, but I was 'outed', so I stopped shooting.
