These were taken in my back garden. The Sparrow Hawk had just missed lunch so was resting and on the lookout. I got to about 2 meters away from her.

Notice the lice on the edge of the bees mane and also on his abdomen hairs.

I had just watered my plants and saw a couple looked good for a shot, but this one stood out due to the intense colour and the drops of water glisteni
