Location
I am fortunate enough to live across the street from a golf course whos ponds host many of God's amazing creatures. It affords me the opportunity to practice my skills in nature photography.Time
This was an amazingly still afternoon last winter. I was taking a walk along the cart paths on the golf course and a whole slough of ducks took to flight from the pond. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this little guy flying the opposite direction, all by his lonesome so I garbed my Cannon point and shoot just in time to catch him before he was gone.Lighting
The lighting was a given but I do try and stay aware of the natural light when I am out shooting wildlife.Equipment
This was shot with my Cannon PowerShot SX720 HS. It's the one I have been using most on trips and little walks around the neighborhood.Inspiration
I enjoy getting that perfect shot of nature in motion and have struggled, but with occasional success.Editing
There wasn't much if any post-processing. A little zoom and clarity, that's it.In my camera bag
Lately, the little cannon has been my go to but I do have a couple more (older Cannon's) that I just have not been able to part with. I hope to sell them and get a new "professional" camera.Feedback
Just keep trying. Go out and shoot, shoot, shoot different lighting, different angles and varying subjects. Still learning and always experimenting is my moto; will be until my last breath.
