Behind The Lens

Location

This is the photo of the view of “mamma caura” at the “Saline Di Marsala” in Sicily

Time

At dusk

Lighting

Natural light

Equipment

Canon 5D classic, Canon EF 50 1.8 prime lens and a manfrotto 90 go tripod.

Inspiration

There’s is this beautiful view in this place in Marsala especially at dusk: it’s said to be one of the the best sunsets in Sicily, so, since I found there having with me my camera and tripod, I just tried to get a great shot with what I had with me then.

Editing

Yes I did some tweaking in camera raw, but especially I kind of risen the black point to something slightly brighter than black, and turned the yellows to a more orangy vibe and the blues Towards the teal mood

In my camera bag

When I go for holidays I always bring my old fella canon 5D classic with the 50mm 1.8 prime lens I mentioned above, and sometimes I bring my tripod. When I go to work I make my bag every time to suit the job in a way that I don’t carry one gram more of gear that I won’t use.

Feedback

Just have a go with long exposures, setting your camera on a tripod during dusk: I’m sure you will be able to capture some cool pics like this one :)
