Location
This photo was taken at Mustang Island, Texas off the 4-wheel drive we took along the Texas Coastline.Time
I believe this was taken mid afternoon........Lighting
This image was completely photo shopped to come up with the rustic look it has.Equipment
I used a Canon point and shoot at the time - and no flash or tripod was used.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this shot as it was stranded on the beach and quite the scene........Editing
Lots of post processing done to this image - I use Corel Paint Shop Pro and I have several added filters that I used. Under the plug-ins, I used Nik Software in which I used the tonal contrast to bring out the real rustic feel to the picture - then I added a goldtone filter under graduated filters. Lots of lighting contrast and lots of saturation was done to this image. In my camera bag
I normally have my Nikon D40 along with several lenses, batteries, and SD cards in my camera bag.Feedback
To be able to capture a photo like this was clearly an accident. I just happened to stumble across it while walking down the coast line. I saw it and thought WOW - I could really turn this into something special which I believe I have done.
