Sugar

I am a 'private' animal rescue person who chooses a stray cat at a time, ensures it is fixed, gets its shots, brought to good health, then adopted to a forever home. I tried for months to get 1 very skinny but beautiful cat to trust me, but all she would do is come and eat then disappear. During our first snow storm of the season j heard meowing at my front door, it was her!! I opened the door and she came running in like she lived here, she jumped up on a chair and started purring, I was blown away!! I fed her a good meal, warmed her up and put her in my spare room till I could have her vet checked in the morning.

My daughter went to visit her before she went to school, she came racing in my room exclaiming 'SHE HAD KITTENS MOM!!'. Well upon closer inspection, she had chosen a laundry basket to have 5 adorable kittens in lol.

There they stayed, mama cat, which was her new name, was the happiest cat, she took all the affection we had to offer as we relished in the miracle of what just happened. After all those months she was smart enough to seek shelter and safety from the storm by choosing TO KNOCK AT MY DOOR, knowing I would help her!!

The kittens all ended up sick with a contidion that was highly contagious, the vet recommended we put them all down as it would take much work, dedication and money to treat them and I did all this out of my own very meager single parent pocket.

After all mama cat did I just couldnt now let her down, so I dedicated myself to the task. Long story short, they all made it after 3 months in isolation, medications, daily baths etc.... Mama and 5 kittens became the loves of 5 peoples lives and are healthy happy irreplaceable adults today!! Mama is the queen of her home, she refuses to go outside after 3 years lol, shes content t to be spoiled rotten..and she deserves it.

This is Sugar, one of twins I kept, she is literally THE sweetest disposition cat I've known in my life. We love her so much.

Sorry the story was so long but it's a special story to me.
