Location
This photo was taken on the Island of Nusa Penida. There was no real taxi services and we didn’t like the prices of the local drivers so we hitched a ride on the back of an old pick up. We spent what felt like the next several hours being jostled around on unpaved roads focusing only on trying not to lose the breakfast we had eaten in the morning. In the evening when we arrived home we agreed it was quite worth the effort and went to sleep very satisfied.Time
We started our journey at the beginning of the day but didn’t arrive to this location until about midday. It was a bit of a drive and a hike until we arrived and I was able to take this shot.Lighting
It was the beginning of the afternoon and the sun was very bright in the sky. It enhanced the turquoise blue of the waterEquipment
For this photo I used my iPhone 6s. We were traveling Indonesia and I packed very light so I didn’t have to carry much.Inspiration

I usually have a hard time deciding which angle I like best. One thing that helps me is to take a video of the landscape and play it back slowly.
