Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a vintage car gathering in Hannover - Germany. The 50’s and 60’s American muscle cars are among my favorite and especially the Corvette!

Time

Morning hours

Lighting

Natural light

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark iii + 24-70mm

Inspiration

The perfect harmony between the gauges shapes, the dashboard lines and the colors. And it makes me feel like i would time travel with these machines so I would best described this as “nostalgia”

Editing

I did work a little on contrast and color (saturation) but very little required for this shot.

In my camera bag

Since I have moved to mirrorless: Sony A7R4a + Sony 24-105mm G OSS + Sony 100-400mm GM + Sigma 85mm f1.4 DG DN Art + Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 DG DN Art + Sony-Zeiss 35mm F2.8 + Minolta-Rokkor 50mm f1.4

Feedback

Keep it simple and imagine what to feel when you look at your subject and how you would others to feel when looking at your shot. Try to tell a story. For example in that shot it is ask about: “they don’t do car like these anymore, the material used, the design, the lines and the colors!”
