My wife and I were traveling in California originally we were going to visit Napa Valley but the fires all around the resort where we were going to stay made us go to Plan B. So we ended up in Monterey and the Big Sur area. So we took the 17 mile drive just outside of Monterey going through Pebble Beach and the Del Monte Forest of Monterey Cypress trees. This a one of the most popular stops. along the drive. Everyone wants to get a shot of the Lone Cypress. So this is my image of the Lone Cypress tree I had to away from the crowds that were there getting their pictures and selfies. So I found a spot off to the side where I could frame it as the last lonely tree at the edge of the vast Pacific Ocean.Time
It was taken mid afternoon around 2:30 pm. Someday I would like to go back around sunset I imagine that light would be extraordinary.Lighting
Well it was taken mid afternoon hardly a cloud in the sky.Equipment
Well I use an iPhone XSInspiration
The 17 mile drive has many beautiful vistas but this brings it all together with the ocean stretching out and this lonely high atop the cliffs overlooking the water.Editing

I only use an iPhone and I have a ND filter I use if I remember to bring it.Feedback
Well don't shoot what everyone else is look at your subject from as many viewpoints as you can. You never know you may see the subject as no one ever has before.
