Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken in my home studio in Dubai.
Time
I always arrange my conceptual photo sessions to be at night, also I expose the model to some dark ambient music for about an hour to get her/him in the mood.
Lighting
I used a huge soft box an placed it in 45 degrees from one side, to get a good light and some shadows for the drama effect.
Equipment
Camera: Nikon D810, Lens: Nikkor 85mm 1.4, wireless flash SB700 with huge soft box.
Inspiration
this project is abstract, but I got the idea from listening to some people and realize how they are boxed with traditional way of thinking and they just move inside it all their life.
Editing
Just a little bit of soft coloring using Lightroom.
In my camera bag
It depends on the trip or the destination, but in general I got a small light camera Fujifilm X-T20 which is really light and small, also its lenses are very small and light too, usually I carry wide lens 14mm with 35mm and small tripod.
Feedback
The main thing about taking similar shot is the idea or the message, if it's interesting the equipment will not matter so much, only the coloring, black and white is always preferred in these kind of photos.
