Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken using the natural light from my back room window using a screw on cheap macro filter.

Time

This was taken early evening during a sunny late spring.

Lighting

I was trying to use the light to shine of the metal part of the peg and string so it would create contrast as much as possible from that and the wood

Equipment

I used a tripod 18-50mm kit lens and a 10x macro filter .

Inspiration

I was looking to create any type of macro image . I had been in the garden all day trying to get an image of bugs webs and the like.after I came back in I put the camera on its stand next to my guitar and took this .

Editing

I used light room to play around with colouring cropped a little and also rotated because I didn’t like the original composition.

In my camera bag

I always have in my bag a Nikon d3200 with its kit 18-55 mm lens. A shutter release and an intervolometer just invase.

Feedback

Having a stand is a must because I it is so difficult to shoot indoors with a macro lens and low light and keep the camera shake to a minimum and with macro photography the slightest jolt will put your image out of focus .
