Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my home studio in Querétaro Mexico, when the pandemia was at its worst

Time

The shot was done early at night. Using my studio lights as light source

Lighting

A softbox as main light at 45º to the right and a 2nd strobe as fill in light from left and back

Equipment

The camera used is a Sony Alpha 99 mark II (ILCA 99II), with a 50 mm Sony Zeiss 1.4 lens. Speed 1/125 and f11. It was mounted on a tripod and I used an infrared remote for shot

Inspiration

I was feeling sad, and just wanted to see what could I capture. This photo is one of many selfportraits I made that evening. Feeling depressed and very, very sad this was one of my favourites

Editing

Just a little post-processing to transform the image to b&w

In my camera bag

Camera, zoom lens 79-200, 35 mm lens, 50 mm lens, special effects lens (85 mm lens baby), batteries, remote control and a table tripod
