Behind The Lens

Location

I clicked this photo in my hometown, the city of Ahmedabad in India.

Time

I was out for some work and had to reach to a place where I had to use the Maps to navigate. Just as I was about to reach, I checked the location for the last time and so this scooter as soon as I stopped on the roadside. It lay unattended under the blistering sun, exactly in the shadow of the flyover.

Lighting

Completely clicked under natural light, I was sure I wouldn't need to play with it since it was clicked in the daytime.

Equipment

No equipment but my phone was used.

Inspiration

I have been always attracted to the colorful as well as the dull side of the environment. As much as beautiful flowers and trees and animals steal my attention, it is these inanimate and dead objects situated at places where a normal person would never raise an eye to.

Editing

I just played with the vibrance and the shadows. I also had to lower the highlights a little.

In my camera bag

Since I spend most of my time in the city (urban areas), I just have my smartphone to work with.

Feedback

There are thousands of things or frames to capture when you're in a city. Something which catches your eye and goes with your instincts, it is ready to get clicked.
