Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my property.

Time

This was taken around 6-7 p.m. in the evening.

Lighting

The lighting is all natural.

Equipment

I used my Canon Rebel T3i with a 18-55mm lens. I was holding it by hand.

Inspiration

I am always looking to push the limits of photography. I accomplished this by rotating the camera by hand while twisting the focal distance in the opposite direction which gives this swirl to the frame. It was done in low light so I could use a longer exposure to cover my movements. I enjoy low light to dark to capture this motion, having taken many photos like this one.

Editing

No post processing was done with the possibility of cropping.

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel T3i & T5 bodies, 18-55mm, 10-18mm and 70-300 mm lenses, lens ball spare batteries, various filters like a good neutral density one, a tripod of some sort too.

Feedback

Don't be afraid to push the limits of your equipment. Always try something crazy. Keep on trying, read good books and share what you know and have tried. That dial on top of the camera does some neat things. Long exposure is fun. You will no doubt take some bad shots, but, maybe that bad shot will have something interesting in it.
