Location
This photo was taken eight years ago, in 2012, in the Kemptown area of Brighton looking down towards the sea. At that time we had a wheel, which has since been taken down.Time
I used to walk around Kemptown in the afternoons a lot, just people watching and going to what was then a great coffee house, The Redroaster. This shot is taken looking down the street with the cafe at my back.Lighting
I'm always taking photos looking into the light - I love the natural obliteration of parts of the image by bright sunlight.Equipment
I have a very cheap Canon - it's broken now, sadly, it was so easy to carry.Inspiration
I love silhouettes.Editing
Yes, I think I played with the light and colour to let it drift towards sepia but with that little surprise of the green plastic draped on the scaffolding on the right of the image. In my camera bag
The camera, that's it!Feedback
I love cities which go down to the sea - you can't really lose with images taken with a sea background. Everything in the foreground has a naturally weird light.
