Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was take on the floor of my bedroom. I was looking for just the right book, so i had dozens of different books of all sizes scattered accross the floor. Its kinda funny, because after trying so many different books the one that worked best was The Bible. Two reasons, one because the pages were so thin it was able to make that perfect heart shape. Two, because of the small print that covers the whole page.. it gave it just what it needed. Also, I used a flashlight shining from the back at just the right angle. It was definitely a process, and wasnt just a snap and go kind of shot.

Time

It was evening time when i took this, but it didnt matter because i used artificial lighting.

Lighting

Like i said i used a regular flashlight coming in from back upwards towards the front. Just right to illuminate the top of the heart.

Equipment

I believe i just used my Casio Exilim Ex-ZR850.

Inspiration

I love Photo Contests (even though i have never won) and this was a photo contest challenge.

Editing

Just a little online post processing, nothing big.

In my camera bag

Sony a7000

Feedback

Use your best imagination, visualize your shot and make it happen. Mess around with different lighting and props, it doesnt always have to be professional equipment, have fun with it.
