Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during winter season nearby Al Qudra lake in Dubai.

Time

Taken last 30-Nov-2019 between 8am to 9am

Lighting

I always wanted to shoot under natural light early in the morning.

Equipment

Nikon D850, Sigma 70-200 F2.8 EX DG OS, Focal Length at 100mm, ISO 400, 1/200, f2.8

Inspiration

My friends and I have been wanting to shoot something like this so we ask one of our friend to bring some stuff with her so we can shoot some portraits like this.

Editing

Just turned the photo into a monochrome to highlight the emotions.

In my camera bag

Aside from the gear mentioned above, I always took my wide lens with me, Tamron 15-30 f2.8 most especially when I wanted to do landscapes.

Feedback

I always wanted to do candid shots whenever I took Portraits because I really wanted to capture natural emotions rather than asking them to do some poses. As much as possible, I wanted to deliver emotions and honesty on my portraits. The rawness of emotions brings authenticity to the photo.
