Location
One of the most beautiful water falls, Multnomah Falls, OR.Time
It was taken at around 8.00 AM in the morning. Got up at 5.30 AM to go to this place and take this shot, before it gets crowded:)Lighting
It was a bit cloudy in the morning, perfect diffused light for a photograph and the fog around the falls was dense, because of the amount of water falling from above.Equipment
This was shot using a Nikon Z7 with a 16mm lens, on a tripod. Tried different long exposures, but forgot to turn off the focus mode:) The amount of water is so dense, and this picture I guess is bit over long exposed. I think 6-10 sec, should have done a better job. I saw other images posted on this blog, captured after this one.Inspiration
Shooting motion is one of my favorite subjects in Photography. I was shooting a lot of waterfalls around this time to get a good understanding about exposure. I love to go on a hike in the mornings, I thought this place is so amazing for a morning hike and a great photograph.Editing
I did little Lightroom adjustments to make the photograph more appealing.I only realized later that this picture is bit over long long exposed:)In my camera bag
I carry a FF mirrorless camera, along with a wide variety of lenses. You can take good pictures with any type of camera or lens, now a days ... it is possible with your phone also:)Feedback
Time your shot (seasons does matter), it is very important to plan your shot in advance when going long distances to capture something special. Anyone can take or FAKE a photograph with the tools available today, but taking the perfect photograph requires a lot of effort and planning! Sometimes even after careful planning, you will be disappointed ... It is what it is, try again! until you make it. If you can dream it, you can make it ... Good luck!
