This image was taken at my backyard at a section that we are still renovating but decided it would make an awesome backdropTime
This was taken on the 9th March 2019 at 11h50am so sun was high and very harsh - used flash to compensate for the shady area I posed my model in -Lighting
I used flash to compensate for the shadows - usually do not shoot mid day but this was a perfect opportunity to learnEquipment
camera setting where Manual - 1/180 - F4 - ISO 100 on a Canon 6D with a 24-105mm lensInspiration
I always strive to better myself and when i get a chance to do some shooting for myself I just practise with different ideas to see if they would work or how to make them betterEditing
I used portrait pro for her skin and there was some harsh sunlight coming through against the wall which i used curves to bring down the toneIn my camera bag
I always have my Canon 6D in my bag with the 24-105 F4 lens attached - I have Canon and Yongnue flashes and i use a diffuser on the flash - sometimes i take my 85mm lens as well depends what I shootFeedback
Just play with the light - I am not a natural light photographer - I always shoot with flash so I am very confident when i shoot but it takes time to learn your flash - dont be afraid of it. Reason why I always shoot with flash is that i shoot mainly children and really do not have the time (due to them being such busy little bees) to adjust and give them instructions to follow - its quick with a flash and I ca capture priceless moments for the parents quickly
