This is a closeup picture of what I believe is a Viceroy Butterfly perched on a flower stem. I might be mistaken and it might be a Monarch Butterfly. Regardless I see it as a beautiful butterfly that exemplifies what nature photography is all about. I will leave the decision as to whether it is a Monarch Butterfly or it's cousin the Viceroy Butterfly up to you.
