Location
I took this photo at High Park in Toronto. I was crouched down on the water line, and leaning against a tree... apparently also leaning on an ant's nest. I was waiting for a perfect moment while getting bitten by ants!Time
Was a warm afternoonLighting
I was outside for this shot!Equipment
Currently I use Nikon Df and my telephoto. I don't like to link the photo to the camera equipment. Better and more expensive equipment won't make you a better photographer... passion, talent and beautiful photos do that.. you don't need the best... you need to know your basic principles and have an imaginationInspiration
I have always loved Herons and I never miss the chance to photograph one. This one looked liked he was enjoying the sun and I thought it looked beautiful and I could relate!Editing
I have been shooting for a long time and I feel at this point I shouldn't be using post processing and always count on my camera and my experience to take the picture on my camera and leave it alone. In my camera bag
I am a Nikon userFeedback
Nature photography is mainly about chance encounters. So get out there!
