Location
This is at the sticks in DUMBO Brooklyn. One of my favorite places.Time
Usually there are alot of photographers here from all over the world here, but it was a freezing winter day and the sun was going down. So only a few other brave souls were there.Lighting
I only shoot daytime landscapes early in the day or late in the afternoon, I find the best natural light at those times. Mid-day is usually too bright and the shadows are hard unless there is overcast.Equipment
I used my Sony A7R3 with my Sony 16-35 2.8 GM Lens, ND10 filter and a Zomie carbon fiber tripod. (It is light, but not as sturdy as i would like)Inspiration
I have photographed this before, but I find by going back and looking around the composition will reveal its secrets. I have done this with several places and It seems I get a better look after getting comfortable with the area.Editing
I use lightroom and have a standard set of sliders i move. I really love getting the detail out of the shadows with Sony Raw.In my camera bag
I usually carry Sony A7R3, 4 batteries, Sony 16-35 2.8 GM Lens, Sony 24-105 4.0 G Lens, lens cleaning kit, 4 filters, Pixels remote intervalometer and Zomie carbon fiber tripod.Feedback
Speaking from experience, I would advise investing in a good set of filters and a decent tripod. If you get something dirt cheap you will be just wasting your money and will end up buying a better one anyway. Also parking is a nightmare so get there early before your shoot.
