Location
We took these pictures in an apartment in Paris, rented by Yun, the young woman in the photo. The apartment was a bit messy though we managed well enough…Time
I remember taking the pictures around 4:00 pm though the time doesn't matter much because for the most part I avoided daylight coming in through the windows.Lighting
There were just standard interior room lights there, it was just a question of moving them around for the best exposure and shadows. For pictures like this I often put an external flash in the shoe with the flash head directed straight behind me, all the while making sure the flash isn't too strong and that it's not causing problems with the white balance.Equipment
Nikon D600, a kit Nikkor 24–85 mm zoom and a tripod.Inspiration
I had already taken portraits of Yun years before and she loved them. On this occasion she was preparing to marry her boyfriend and wanted to take boudoir photos with him while they're still young.Editing
No, I ran the picture through Lightroom, with means moderate amounts of brightening and darkening region by region, but no doctoring.In my camera bag

It all goes by the feeling, naturally it helps to get along well with the subjects and no matter what, any good results will be thanks to a collaboration between the photographer and subjects.
