Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the living room of my house, I moved the furniture in order to have a blank background. I am a self taught photographer and this was the first time I shooted a model.

Time

It was evening, after dinner, around 9/10 p.m.

Lighting

I used the lights of my alogen lamp. Unfortunately I could not remove that disturbing shadow

Equipment

I used my old Nikon FG20 camera, the 70/210 Vivitar zoom, an Ilford 400 Asa b/w film exposed at 800 and developed accordingly

Inspiration

The girl in the photo is a friend of mine, a fashion model, so I asked her to take some photos for free. I do not really like to take photos of persons that not belong to my family, but I challenged myself and that's the result

Editing

No, once developed the film I printed the negative on a normal Ilford paper and then scanned

In my camera bag

Not much: camera(s), lenses and a polarizing filter

Feedback

That's a photo of a person. Try to make the subject at ease and take the photos without worries of the result. In my opinion is the best way. Thanks for reading :-)
